I started this momths ago and it was forgoten about. I just found it and thought I would put it up. I would just like to let you know, “ THE BIG THING” the new windows are in and look great. I know I am way behind, but will try to catch up on the progress. Mean while enjoy the photos.
I haven’t put anything here for a while, but you know how that goes. There is some progress on the Building itself.
- The windows are ordered for the building.
- The drawings are done, ( I think.)
- There is temp lighting now.
- The roof is patched.
- The old Gresti Appliance Store is no longer there. (It was taken down last summer.)
There is one problem with the demolition of the old Yellow building, it shows the junky yard behind the bank. Behind the building is just as bad. A friend pointed out, anyway you come into this town you have abandon houses, in need of repair or demolition. There was people who felt the Bank was in need of the same treatment, and some of the towns people stepped up to the plate, and now it is being repaired by private money and government grants. I would personally like to thank the association and other volunteers for saving something that is a part of the history of the town. Also means alot to me.
